As a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, yoga & fitness instructor my goal is to help you uncover your best self so that you may live life to the fullest. Functional Diagnostic Nutrition is grounded in the belief that true wellness is driven by a myriad of internal and external factors. This means that achieving health in our lives requires a more holistic, balanced approach than the engrained practice of purely treating physical symptoms. Unlike traditional medicine, my work assesses the impact of all factors, internal and external, on one’s health and, through the use of state-of-the-art lab testing, delivers a tailored wellness program and lifestyle coaching that allows people to achieve lasting health and happiness.

​FDN is a type of detective work that seeks to identify the underlying causes of dis-ease instead of treating symptoms. Using functional lab work, I identify healing opportunities and engage each client in a health building process using the potent, proven, professional protocols in our DRESS For Health Success program. This includes a personalized Diet, Rest, Exercise, Supplements and Stress Reduction program. This natural, holistic approach yields the highest level of positive results.

My Process

1 - Complete Health Evaluation
During our initial meetings, we will discuss your health history, along with your current health complaints, wellness goals, nutrition, and any current medications and supplements you are taking. These are in-depth discussions, so you are urged to spend some time prior to our meetings making a list of questions, concerns, and observations concerning your health. I consider all information pertinent to your health, so the more detailed you can be the better. 

Here is a list of the lab tests I offer to give you an idea of what we can assess:
  1. Metabolic Assessment BH101: Tests digestion, detoxification, and liver function. 
  2. Stress Profiles BH205: Tests hormone levels of cortisol, estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, DHEA, and melatonin.
  3. FIT Food Sensitivities Test: is the highest quality and most sensitive food sensitivity test available which can measure up to 132 of the most common foods, colorings and additives.
  4. Genova IP: Tests for Intestinal permeability, leaky gut, and nutrient absorption. 
  5. Pathogen Screen BH401H: Tests for ova, parasites, bacteria, yeast, and fungus.

​​Based on ou
r discussions, I will recommend certain functional lab testing, which may include saliva, urine, blood, or stool samples. Most lab samples are very easy to obtain and are completed in the convenience of your own home. The lab results will provide us with a current and thorough assessment of how various systems in your body are functioning.

2- Custom Tailored Plan
After you have completed the recommended lab testing, I will create a comprehensive analysis of the results. These results will reveal the biochemical and metabolic imbalances that are behind your current health complaints. I will also tailor a program to address these imbalances that may include education pertaining to natural and botanical supplements and remedies, as well as lifestyle factors such as stress management, diet, sleep, appropriate exercise, and adequate hydration.

3 - Investing In Relationships
Due to the unique nature of each client’s underlying health issues, there is no preset length of time we will need to work together, but do expect to work closely with me for a minimum of 3 months. My approach is built on a foundation of shared commitment between client and practitioner. I will be with you each step of the way to encourage you, track your progress, focus your efforts, and empower you with the latest tools and information so you can make informed lifestyle choices and take an active role in your future health.
