YOGA | HEALTH | HAPPINESS | NUTRITION | MIND BODY SPIRIT | GROWTH
I grew up the heart of the Texas Hill Country and was raised in a loving family who always encouraged me to explore the world and pursue my dreams. I soon left home and made my way to university where I caught the travel bug on my first trip solo trip to Europe. Since then, I have travelled to over 20 different countries and lived in several others including Spain, El Salvador, and Israel. My love for health and movement lead me to develop a passion for dance, running, biking, swimming, functional movement training, and ultimately mind-body-spirit wellness through the study of holistic health, nutrition, and yoga.

When I started practicing yoga regularly it sparked a passion in me that I had never felt before in any other activity. Yoga challenged my body and my mind. It created a sense of peace that connected me to a greater force within. It was through yoga that I began to study how to better feed and fuel my body through a healthy plant based diet.
The inspiration for Wild Acorn Wellness came about while at a yoga class with Seane Corn at Wanderlust Yoga & Music Festival in 2011. Before Sean began teaching she talked about the potential within us all. She gave the analogy of the tiny little acorn and its potential to grow into a mighty oak tree. This imagery resonated so deep within me. I knew I had so much energy, power, and creativity, but that I wasn't fully nurturing and letting it grow. I had to tap into that potential and start growing. The conversion was not instant, but it happened slowly but surely. I came home and began practicing yoga more diligently and decided to finally take the jump to go through yoga teacher training.
I completed my initial RYT 200 Hour yoga teacher training at Black Swan Yoga in November 2012, and continued my training in 2014 with an Advanced Teacher Training at Dharma Yoga. In 2018 I found my teachers, at Del Sol Yoga, who took me from the knowledge of teaching the yoga to truly living and embodying the yoga. I completed my RYT 300 at Del Sol in October 2018. Teacher training has deepened my practice and expanded my heart allowing me to bring this powerful practice to other people. I've also completed the Onnit Academy Foundations & Durability Certifications. My goal is to help my students become aware of how yoga and fitness can transform not only your body, but also your life by shifting your perspective and your mind.
I am also certified as a holistic health coach through the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition program. As an FDN Practitioner I am able to assess the impact of all internal and external factors on one’s health through the use of lab testing, deliver tailored wellness programs and lifestyle coaching that allows people to achieve lasting health and happiness.
These days you can find me doing what I love most: teaching yoga, leading retreats, teaching women how to live happy healthy lives through Four Phases, crafting Ayurvedic inspired dosha balancing perfume oils for Wild Acorn Apothecary, riding my bike around town, dancing in the kitchen, adventuring as much as possible, and cooking nourishing meals for those I love.
Wild Acorn Wellness is a collection of my thoughts and knowledge on holistic health, nutrition, yoga, emotional and spiritual well-being, personal development, love and life. I am a honored and humbled to meet you here so that we may learn and grow along side one another. It's going to be a grand adventure!
